Blessed Easter in Raspberry

Using more of the Raspberry Ripple card stock to make this card with the Blessed Easter single stamp,

Easter Blessings Raspberry

Primrose Petals also in the same In Color family – 2012-2014 will be retiring at the end of June, so I’m making the most of these colors before they leave us.  The main card stock is Raspberry Ripple with a layer of Whisper White.  The top layer of Primrose Petals was embossed with the Decorative Dots embossing folder (SAB item) .  The tag is cut 3 3/4″ x 2″ and punched at the top with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch from the Occasions Mini.  The flowers from the Blessed Easter stamp is stamped in black and colored with Primrose Petals and Gumball Green markers (also in the 2012-2014 In Color family).

The tag is stamped with the sentiment from Blessed Easter using Raspberry Ripple classic ink and punched with the Label Bracket Punch.  It is layered on top of two Raspberry Rippled punched Label Bracket punched pieces.  One is cut horizontally in the middle and the other vertically, trimmed and adhered to the back of the white sentiment piece.  The tag is finished with a piece of Primrose Petals 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon.  The tag and sentiment are popped onto the layers with dimensionals.  A few basic pearls are added underneath the sentiment.

Blessed Easter and New Photopolymer Stamp Sets

There are several single stamps offered in the current Occasions Mini and this is one that can be used for other occasions other than Easter.  You can easily separate the image and sentiments and mount them on two separate wood blocks or mount the image on one side of the wood block and the sentiment on the other side, creating two stamps!

Step Into Spring Easter

The base card stock is Coastal Cabana, with a Whisper White mat.  Cut out the oval (use third largest size oval framelit)  in the mat first before running it through with the Big Shot using the Stylish Stripes embossing folder.  Stamp the image on a piece of White card stock and color with blender pens.  Using the Oval framelits, cut out the Coastal Cabana “frame” using two of the framelits to create the frame (use second and third largest size oval framelits) to cut the frame.  Add a length of 3/8″ Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Trim across the mat and then top it off with the sentiment stamped with Coastal Cabana classic ink and punched out with the Label Bracket punch and adhered to the front of the card with dimensionals.

  • Blessed Easter Single Stamp, #133212 Wood only
  • Ovas Collectionl Framelits, #129381
  • Markers – Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush
  • Label Bracket Punch, #132153

Peaceful Petals – Weekly Deals

Today’s card uses not only the beautiful Peaceful Petals stamp set (love it!) but also incorporates the oval Designer Frames Embossing Folder that is one of this week’s special deals!

Peaceful Petals Raspberry

Raspberry Ripple is the base card stock (and if you love this color be sure to stock up as it is one of the In Colors 2012-2014 that will be leaving us at the end of the catalogue year just a couple of months away).  The second layer is Smoky Slate.  The designer frame is embossed in the centre of the Whisper White layer.

The large flower from Peaceful Petals is stamped randomly using Smoky Slate and Raspberry Ripple classic ink and the leaves were stamped in Gumball Green, also part of the 2012-2014 In Colors that will be gone at the same time.  Wishing thinking is that Stampin’ Up! would replace the Garden Green with Gumball Green as it’s a beautiful shade of green – full of life!

The centre of the frame has a piece of Raspberry Rippled punched with the Extra-Large Oval punch.  The sentiment is from Four You stamped with Raspberry Ripple classic ink and punched out with the Scallop Oval punch.  These two pieces are popped up with dimensionals.  A couple of butterflies in Raspberry Rippled are added (sometimes it’s great to have those butterflies to hide little imperfections – lol).  I have a zip-lock bag of pre punched or rolled through the Beautiful Wings embosslit that I can dip into for times like this.

  • Peaceful Petals Stamp Set, Wood #133104, Clear #133107
  • Four You Stamp Set, Wood #130535, Clear #130538
  • Designer Frames, #123130 -  FEATURED ON THIS WEEK’S WEEKLY DEALS
  • Extra-Large Oval Punch, #119859
  • Scallop Oval Punch, #119856
  • Bitty Butterfly Punch, #129406
  • Beautiful Wings Embosslits, #118138

Sweet Sale A Bration

At our recent Step into Spring Stamp a Stack we made this card using a couple of SAB items.

Step Into Spring Cantaloupe

I especially like this year’s Sweet Sorbet SAB Designer Series Paper – so much so that I’ve ordered two packages of it!   The main card stock is Crisp Cantaloupe with a layer of Pool Party.  The top layer has a Whisper White piece of card stock rolled through the Big Shot with the SAB Decorative Dots embossing folder.  The lower portion of the top layer is a piece of the Sweet Sorbet DSP.  There’s a fringe of Crisp Cantaloupe card stock at the bottom cut with the Fringe Scissors.  This layer is tied together with a length of Crisp Cantaloupe 3/8″ Ruffle Stretch Ribbon.

The sentiment from Petite Pairs is stamped using Crisp Cantaloupe classic ink on Whisper White and punched out with the Scallop Oval and layered onto a piece of Pool Party punched with the Decorative Label punch and added to the card with dimensionals.

  • Petite Pairs Stamp Set, #128706 Wood, #122497 Clear
  • Crisp Cantaloupe, Pool Party and Whisper White Card Stock
  • Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Ink
  • 3/8″ Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch Trim, #130021
  • Fringe Scissors, #133325
  • Decorative Label Punch, #120907
  • Scallop Oval Punch, #119856
  • Sweet Sorbet DSP, #133521 – SAB item
  • Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, #133520 – SAB item

Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31 so don’t let the time slip away by missing the deadline.  A $60 order earns you 1 SAB item.  My online store is open 24/7 for you RIGHT HERE.

I remember as a child that we had these kaleidoscopes that we looked through squinting with one eye and turning it around and around to get all these beautiful kaleidoscopic patterns.

When my stamping friend, Rhonda, shared the pattern for this card, it was a natural to use the Kaleidoscope DSP from the Occasions Mini.

The card base is Basic Black cut 5″ x 10″ and scored at 5″.  The Strawberry Slush layer is cut 4 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ and then rolled through the Big Shot using the Decorative Dots (SAB) embossing folder.  The squares are 1 1/4″ (so happy I kept those punches even though they retired) to cut the squares.  A Strawberry Slush In Color Boutique Detail in the centre completes the card.

Vivid Vases Meets Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards

Have you discovered the Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards and Envelopes in the Occasions Mini?  They are absolutely fabulous!   In the package you will receive 20 printed cards on watercolor paper – 4 each of 5 designs with 20 Ivory envelopes.  The cards are 3 1/2″ x 5″.

I hadn’t used the Vivid Vases stamp set and made this card with it using one of the note cards.

Vivid Vases Watercolor Wonder Notes

Vivid Vases is a single stamp and you can separate the image from the sentiment to make two stamps.  I inked up the image with black ink and colored the flowers and added the water in the vases with a blender pen.  A tiny pearl is added to the second flower from the left and a little ribbon knot made from Pretty in Pink 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (retired) added to the other vase.

The sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts was stamped on the front and the sentiment “You’re a whole lot of wonderful” from Vivid Vases is stamped on the inside of the card.

Supplies used:

  • Stamp Sets:  Vivid Vases Wood #133818 $14.95; A Dozen Thoughts Wood #131056, $32.95; Clear #131056, $22.95
  • Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards & Envelopes #133362 $15.95
  • Ink:  Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party

Here Comes the Sun

The sun is shining brightly outside and I have just finished making this card and wanted to share with you although I had posted earlier today.  It reflects the warmth of the sun shining through the window right now – and the Canadian women won Curling Gold at the Olympics this morning so more good sunshiny news!

Bootiful Sun

I’ve seen a lot cards on Pinterest using the Banner punch (a SAB item) making the rays around the “sun” so I thought I would combine it with the starburst technique.

The base card stock is Daffodil Delight.  The first layer is Soft Sky.  The sunburst is made with the Watercolor Wonder DSP.  A length of Daffodil Delight seam binding is wrapped at the bottom of the sunburst and I wrapped some of the Starfruit twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack (also a SAB item) around the ribbon.

I was searching for a sentiment and found it in Bootiful Occasions.  It rains overnight and during the day it clears up with the bright sun shining through the past few days, so the sentiment is perfect for this card.  It is stamped with Daffodil Delight classic ink and punched with the Modern Label punch and then layered on a blue piece also punched using the Modern Label punch - I thought it was Soft Sky but I think it’s Pool Party as I grabbed it from the drawer with left over pieces – lol.

The sun is made with punching a 1 3/8″ circle piece from Daffodil Delight and punching out the rays of sun from the (SAB) Banner punch  – you’ve got to get it if you don’t have it already.

Supplies used:

  • Bootiful Occasions Stamp Set, Wood, #131967 $29.95, Clear, #126597, $21.95
  • Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky, Whisper White Card Stock
  • Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper, #132994 $10.95

  • Modern Label Punch, #119849, $22.95
