We're winding down to what will be a very, very busy day in downtown Vancouver tomorrow - with the much anticipated match up for the Men's Gold Medal hockey game with Canada vs. the US - it promises to be a very much watched hockey game, not only on television but by the thousands at Canada Hockey Place and at all the sports bars around town. Right after that will be the closing ceremonies and with the venues being next door to each other, the crowds will be huge!
Here's a card that Jen made as her homage to the Olympics.
She made the Olympic rings by punching a circle with the 1 1/4" Circle punch and then punching around it with the 1 3/8" Circle punch. Super card.
I promised some blog candy giveaways and I have two items to give - all you need to do is post a comment here and let me know:
1. What was your favourite or most memorable Olympic moment, or
2. Since this is a stamping blog, how did you find my blog and what would you like to see in future posts?
You have until Tuesday, March 2 at 5:00 p.m. to post a comment related to the above topics. There will be two winners, one to receive this Holiday Best stamp set which is a Level 1 Hostess Set in the IBC.
Or this Olympic souvenir - Quatchi! One of the four mascots for the Vancouver Olympics - isn't he cute?
Thanks for stoppinby by today and happy stamping!

Having our office over Robson and Hornby, each day brought new reasons to rush to the window and see what the massive crowd was doing down there. And to watch the zippers go down the zip line; having the torch pass by and almost be able to touch Walter Gretzky; knowing exactly when Team Canada did anything -- as the roar from the crowd notiied us and we ran to the TV; the bonding of our office -- well, the bonding of the whole country was amazing. Being Canadian all my life, I have never experienced such a bond and pride! I have to admit I cried during the closing ceremonies ...

My favourite Olympics moment was when I was stationed at accredited security entrance and had the opportunity to interact with all the athletes and VIPs that arrived to watch the women's gold medal hockey game. Asking the dreamy Mattias Ohlund to remove his jacket and place everything on the x-ray machine while (subtly) begging the security team to let me do that pat down was definitely a highlight! (they wouldn't let me do that pat down though, sigh)

I was also browsing the net for idea's and came across your blog! My favorite Olympic moment was watching the USA take the gold on the Men's Figure skating. I am in awe of the talent figure skaters have, and was extremely excited that the USA finally won a Gold in Men's Skating.
