Boy, I've been having problems with my email for the past few days and I must say that it creates huge inconvenience when technology isn't working. Still trying to determine what the problem is and hopefully it will be sorted out soon! I just feel so lost if I can't communicate via email - lol.
I made this gift for my friend, Janet, for Christmas. I've made several magazine holders as gifts and forget to take pictures of them before giving them away - lol! But I remembered to take pictures of this one, partly because of the colors in the Nouveau Chic DSP are ones that I don't generally use and I thought the end result was quite unique.
I modified the measurements for A2 cards. The colors in Nouveau Chic uses Sage Green, Apricot Appeal, Black and Basic Grey.
The box is cut from 12"x12" card stock in Sage green and decorated with the DSP. The flower is cut out of one of the pieces of the DSP.
I made four cards using two designs and on this one I used the Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware (p. 178, #112454, $41.95) in the middle and 5/16" Neutral Jumbo Brads (p. 179, #112534, $11.25). The initial is stamped using the Lovely Letters Alphabet (p. 30, #115030, $57.95)
The other design uses more of the DSP with Apricot Appeal card stock and the scallop trim is the free punch offered in this year's SAB products.
