Circle Circus

I just love the Hostess Level 1 Love Bug set but as I don't have it . . . yet,   I wanted to make a card of the adorable little caterpillar so I went through my new sets and thought that Circle Circus would be a good substitute.  This is how it turned out.

 Supplies:

Card Stock:  Bashful Blue, Whisper White

Stamp Sets:  Circle Circus, Nursery Necessities, Short & Sweet

Ink:  Bashful Blue, Black Marker, Bashful Blue Marker

Accessories:  1/2", 1/4" Circle, Star, Large Star and Modern Label (NEW!) punches, Soft Subtles Brads, Dimensionals, 1" Bashful Blue Double Stitched Grosgrain ribbon, SAB DSP, Mat Pack, Piercer.

Putting it Together:

The main card stock is Bashful Blue - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".

Cut Whisper White layer - 5 1/4" x 4", cut DSP 5 1/4" x 2" and place at top of Whisper White piece.

Cut ribbon 6" and wrap around join of DSP and Whisper White and attach at the back with SNAIL.

Stamp assorted Circle Circus images on Whisper White with Bashful Blue classic ink and punch out 6 1/2" circles and one 1/4" circle.  Punch one 1/2" circle from Whisper White.

Arrange circles to form a caterpillar - draw in face, antennas and legs using Black Marker.  Outline the caterpillar with Bashful Blue marker.  Using a q-tip grab a bit of Bashful Blue ink and gently run over face of caterpillar.

Stamp "little cutie" from Nursery Necessities below caterpillar with Bashful Blue ink.

Stamp "welcome baby" from Short & Sweet in Bashful Blue on Whisper White and punch out with the new Modern Label punch - add brads on ends and adhere to ribbon with dimensionals.

Punch out one each Bashful Blue and Whisper White stars with Star punch - punch small star on a piece of Whisper White and then position Large Star over the punched out piece and punch out to create the large white star - adhere these to front of card with dimensionals.

Add completed layer to Bashful Blue card front with dimensionals.
