At the vendor fair of the Stamp out Breast Cancer fundraiser, I had the opportunity to visit at the other vendor booths and saw some very exciting techniques that could be adapted to using SU products.  On this criimped envelope, the flowers were made using a technique that was being demonstrated that used gold stickers, markers and an aqua painter.  You separated the image from the sticker and applied it to watercolour paper.  Using water based markers, you created pools of colour within the gold lines and then used an aqua painter to draw out the colour.  The demonstrator then covered the coloured portions with a Glaze pen (very cool!).

On SU water colour paper, I stamped the small flower images with Metallic gold ink and then embossed with gold embossing powder.  I moistened the paper with the aqua paiinter and then coloured in with various markers and then worked the colours together with the aqua painter.   The Glaze pen was so cool that I had to purchase one and so finished the flowers by running the pen over the coloured portions of the flower.  It is very subtle but gives it a sheen.

This is the completed envelope.   I used a medium white envelope and sealed the flap down, cut 1 1/2" from the top.  Using a background image from the Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp set, I used Regal Rose and Lavender Lace ink to stamp on the envelope and top.  I fed the bottom part of the envelope through the crimper and added the flowers to the front with dimensionals.   The Satin white ribbon was pulled through the Regal Rose stamp pad – isn't it beautiful?  So easy to customize this ribbon to the colour you want.

I cut a piece of Lavender Lace card stock to fit inside the envelope and matted with Whisper White and stamped the sentiment with Regal Rose ink.  Makes a nice thank you note presentation.
