We were having spring like weather last week but yesterday we were reminded that its still winter as we got about 2 inches of snow. While it didn't stay too long on the roads, our backyard is always a magnet for snow. Bella loves running around in it and wants to go out to play ball. She tries to pick it up in the snow but it just keeps spinning around and its so funny to watch her finally get a grip on it. She eventually does and comes running with it and wants me to throw it across the yard so she can go running after it. She just loves being outside - but I tell her it's cold and we need to go inside. After several reminders to her, she finally runs up the stairs to go back in.
Yesterday was a great day to spend in the craft room with the snow on the ground and icy roads, I decided the errands could wait and not venture out but stay indoors to stamp. I just received the Cheep Talk set (page 90, #113204, $31.95) and the co-ordinating Good Morning Sunshine DSP (page 160, #113966, $11.75). Once again, what can I say, the DSP is fantastic with bright colours and beautiful designs and the birds in the set are so cute.
This is the first card.

I used Summer Sun as the main cardstock with Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. The branch was coloured with Chocolate Chip and Old Olive Markers and the birds stamped with Rose Red and Summer Sun classic ink. The sentiments were stamped with Old Olive. I finished the card with a bit of Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon and punched the corners of the Summer Sun piece with the Ticket Corner punch.
My second card is not as colourful as the first for a totally different look and I love the simplicity of it.

I cut the Whisper White 5" x 10" to make a 5" x 5" card. The Pacific Point cardstock was run through the Big Shot using the Eyelet Texturz Plate (page 203, #114512, $14.25) and then placed on the Whisper White with dimensionals. The ribbon is from the Dress Up Ribbon Originals (page 178, #114317, $17.50). The bluebird is stamped with Pacific Point and punched with the 1 1/4" Circle punch and layered onto a 1 3/8" Pacific Point circle and on a Whisper White Scallop Circle. The scallops are pierced with the paper piercer. The sentiment on Whisper White was punched out using the Small Oval punch and then sponged around the edges with Pacific Point and placed on the card front with dimensionals.
