Pocket Heart

I've been using the Big Shot and cutting out images with some of the dies I have on hand and cut out the Pegal Card image.  I was folding it looking for ways to use it when one of the folds turned out to be a heart shape and with one more fold can be a cute little envelope.  I decided to use it as a heart for a Valentine and these are the results.  The first image shows the petal cut out with the Big Shot.

Petal Flower Die

In this next photo, I folded up the two bottom "petals" for form a heart shape.  Sorry for the blurry image as I don't know what happened here.

Petal Flower Die Heart

This is the card that I made with the heart shape.

Candy Lane Pocket Heart

The card measures 5" x 5" in Riding Hood Red.  The mat is Very Vanilla cut to 4.75" x 4.75".  On this piece, I lightly stamped the splatter stamp from Itty Bitty Backgrounds just to give it a subtle texture (it's so subtle you can hardly see it – lol!).   The heart was cut from Candy Lane DSP.  The lovebirds are from Love You Much and I stamped the image twice on two different sheets of Candy Lane and SNAILED them to the stamped birds and also punched out the small heart using the Heart to Heart Punch on matching Candy Lane DSP.  It is punched out using the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and it is matted onto a scallop cut from the Scallop Circle #2 Die using the Big Shot.  A length of Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon completes the card.  You can add hearts or a sentiment or other accessories into the pocket but for this sample, it is shown without any accessories.

I made another card using the Petal Card die.

Always Pocket Heart

For this card I used the Always set as it has a beautiful heart image that I've wanted to use for so long and finally got a chance to do so.  The main cardstock is Regal Rose with a mat of Pretty in Pink.  I scalloped a piece of Whisper White and the bottom edge of the Pretty in Pink.  The pocket heart was cut using Regal Rose.  I cut another petal card using Pink Pirouette DSP and snipped off the two bottom pieces and matted it on the Regal Rose heart.

I stamped two hearts from Always using Riding Hood Red ink on Whisper White and a heart from Love You Much using Regal Rose ink on Whisper White an then cut out the hearts and tucked them into the pocket.  The Always stamp is stamped on Whisper White and then punched out with the 1/2"" Circle Punch, matted onto a piece of Regal Rose punched with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and then onto a Pink Pirouette scallop circle.  Using one of the small flower images from Always, I stamped it on a piece of Whisper White with Riding Hood Red and punched it out with the 1/2" Circle Punch and placed onto a Build A brad and placed in the centre of the "a".  The scallop circle is pierced using the Mat Pack and paper piercer.  A length of 5/8" Pink Pirouette grosgrain completes the card.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!
