When I started to assemble my supplies to make some Halloween cards, I went through my stamp sets and could not believe that I do not have one set for Halloween! I usually have at least one but for some reason the time flew by and now I find that I didn't order any. I particularly like the Eat, Drink & Be Scary set in the Holiday Mini but woe is me for not buying it.
I wanted to do at least one Halloween project and recall that Dannie Graves made a delightful mummy card - no Halloween stamps required! This provided the inspiration for my version of a mummy card in its own carsophagus.
I used Chocolate Chip as the main cardstock. I cut the cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and folded it top down. I measured in about 1" from both sides at the top and cut at an angle down 1 1/4". I then tapered the bottom to 1 1/8" in from both sides at the bottom. I cut a piece of Very Vanilla the same shape bringing in the dimensions about 1/4" in order to layer it onto the Chocolate Chip cardstock.
I cut 1/2" strips of Very Vanilla in various lengths to be the wrapping around the mummy and sponged it with Creamy Caramel. The eyes were punched out using the 1", 3/4" and 1/2" circle punches in Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White and Basic Black respectively.
Cute card and lots of fun to make.
Happy stamping!
