Today’s card share features the Circle of Spring stamp set with the Brick Wall embossing folder.

Circle of Spring Brick Wall

I started with a card base of Whisper White card stock measuring 9″ x 4 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/2″.  I scored the front panel at 1/4″ on all four sides.  The Pink Pirouette layer was cut 4″ x 4″ and rolled through the Big Shot with the Brick Wall embossing folder.

For the Circle of Spring image, I stamped it onto a piece of Vellum with Versamark and then sprinkled the image with white embossing powder and heat embossed it.  Using Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz and Rose Red markers to color the flowers and leaves to give it the stained glass look.  I also stamped the ribbon with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. and colored it with the Pink Piroutte marker.

Then using the Wonderful Wreath Framelits, I cut out the wreath and ribbon.  The wreath is adhered to the Pink Pirouette layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the ribbon is popped on with a piece of dimensional.

Using my Versamark pen, I inked up a portion of the Happy Birthday sentiment and stamped it onto one of the bricks on the brick wall and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Kaleidoscope Card – Free Shipping and Weekly Deals!

Do you remember those kaleidoscopes that you would look through, with one eye squinting and turning it around to get a kaleidoscope of color as it turns and the colors come tumbling around?  One of the background stamps in the I Think You’re Great stamp set reminded me of it so I thought I’d make a card using the Cool Cucumber, Mint Macaron and Marina Mist card stock.

I Think You're Great Kaleidascope

I used the Circle framelits to cut out the outer frame and the rest of the circles.

Floral Wings Etch-A-Sketch – Weekly Deals

I have been seeing some of these Etch-A-Sketch cards on the web and, of course, just had to try it.  The Project Life Cards and Framelits Dies arrived last week so there was no excuse not to make one.  I used the butterfly from the Floral Wings Hostess set for the image.

Floral Wings Etch-A-Sketch

Love the idea and there will be lots of opportunity to make this type of card for all occasions.

You’ve Got This Bokeh

One of my favourite techniques is the Bokeh technique.  We used the technique at a class this weekend and just love the way it turned out with the new You’ve Got This stamp set and one of the new In Colors – Cucumber Crush.  The stamp set has this beautiful flower along with three sentiments and a fantastic background image.

You've Got This Bokeh

The quality of the picture is very poor. I’ve been experiencing various issues with Photoshop since installing it on my new computer a couple of months ago.  The photos are downloaded onto PS, cropped etc and when I open up my photo editing program – I can’t find the photos!   Each time I’ve had to use a different method to locate them and this last one brought the photo over but in muted colors.  Aargh!

We used Marina Mist with the Cucumber Crush to create the background and the colors are very beautiful together.

Mojo Monday Baby Bumblee

Time to take part in a Mojo Monday challenge and it’s a milestone as this is their 400th sketch.

I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest and it worked out for the Mojo challenge.

This is their sketch.

Here is my card.

Baby Bumblebee Mojo BBThe card base is Whisper White and the mat is from the new Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack.  The flowers are stamped with Daffodil Delight classic ink using one of the flower images from Beautiful Bunch.  I stamped two and punched them out with the Fun Flower punch and adhered them the together.  The baby bumblebee stamp was stamped with Memento Black ink and then fussy cut and popped onto the centre of the flowers with a dimensional.

PLEASE NOTE:  The Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper Stack (#138435) and Regals Collection Designer Series Paper Stack (#138436) are currently not being offered in the catalogue launch as there has been a sizing error in the paper.  It is expected that the sizing will be corrected very soon.

DON’T MISS OUT ON THE ITEMS YOU WANT THAT WILL BE GONE AFTER TODAY.  SHOP HERE for your favourite products.

My card for today uses the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set that is still current in the 2015-2016 catalogue!  I needed a sympathy card and I cased this from a sample that I had seen on Pinterest.

Thoughts and Prayers Strawberry

The card base is the departing Strawberry Slush In Color.  The image is stamped using Pistachio Pudding classic ink and the layer behind the focal image is Pistachio Pudding, also a departing In Color.  I punched the little flowers from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and  from the Strawberry Slush card stock.  I first used the end of my empressor tool to curve the edges of the flowers before adhering them to the image with glue dots  Tiny pearls added to the flowers completed the card.

Mustache

.I was in the card section of a local supermarket the other day and as I was browsing through the aisles of cards, saw one that I had to CASE.  I thought it was so cool.  Perfect for Father’s Day coming up real soon.

Mustache

Using the Mustache framelit on a bottle of cologne for a masculine card. Yes, this framelit has been sitting in my stash of framelits and now that it’s retiring, I pulled it out to make this card. I just checked the retiring products and it’s still availalble for only $4.98! It’s one framelit that I’ll keep as it will be so useful for masculine cards.

I also used several retired/retiring papers – the Modern Medley DSP from a couple of years ago and Brushed Silver card stock retiring this year for the card.. But there is something new that I used and that’s the card base in the new In Color Watermelon Wonder – love it!  Only FOUR MORE DAYS LEFT to purchase retiring product from the current catalogue.

Gift Bag Painted Petals FV

I used more of the soon departing Painted Blooms DSP to make the bag.  How do you like the shade of red of the scallop circle and flowers?  It’s the new beautiful Watermelon Wonder In Color.  It’s a really gorgeous shade of red   – slightly muted and absolutely beautiful!

Isn’t it cute?  I’ll be making more samples to share with you in the next while..

Rose Butterfly

I’m so happy that the Butterfly Thinlits will be available in the new catalogue along with Butterfly Basics.  I had cut several butterflies in preparation of a class several weeks ago and put them aside and had forgotten about them.  Today’s card uses a Rose Red butterfly cut from the middle size thinlit and a vellum butterfly cut from the smallest one.

Butterfly Lots of Thanks Rose Red

I recall when I first signed up with Stampin’ Up! about 10 years ago that one of my favourite colour was Rose Red, its still around and I’m still loving it!  I also recall that I made a lot of cards using this sketch in the horizontal layout.  I love how just changing the orientation from a horizontal to a portrait layout makes it so interesting – or maybe I just got tired of seeing it the other way – lol.

Supplies:

  • Stamps:  Another Thank You (photopolymer)
  • Paper:  Rose Red, Whisper White, Vellum, Painted Blooms DSP (from the Occasions Catalogue that ends next week)
  • Ink:  Rose Red
  • Accessories:  Butterflies Thinlits, Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder, Rose Red Seam Binding, Candy Dots, Small Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch

Counting down the days as we transition to the new catalogue – don’t miss out on your favourities if you haven’t got them yet as they will be gone after June 2.   Shop HERE AT MY ONLINE STORE 24/7.

Sprinkles of Life – Weekly Deals

Only two weeks away when the new 2015-2016 catalogue is launched.  I was so excited to receive my order last week and love all the stamp sets, paper, In Colors etc.  Couldn’t decide which set to use first but the Sprinkles of Life is such a delightful set I decided on that one.

Each year Stampin’ Up! features a special set where $3 from the sale of every one of this stamp set is donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.  This year, the set is Sprinkles of Life and has 22 photopolymer images to create trees, cupcakes, flower baskets etc etc – just let your imagination go.  And a bonus to this set is a co-ordinating Tree Builder punch where your imagination can also take you into different directions.

I used a note card to make today’s card and chose the new In Colors Markers to color the flowers:  There’s Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder.  The only color not used in this card is Tip Top Taupe.

The designer paper background is from the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack.  It’s a colorful paper stack featuring all the new In Colors and cut 6″ x 6″.

I added two of the Cucumber Crush Blossom Accents to complete the card.

Sprinkles of Life

Supplies:

  • Stamp Set:  Sprinkles of Life
  • Paper: Note Card, Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White, Cherry on Top Paper Stack
  • Ink:  Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, Memento Black
  • Accessories:  Tree Builder Punch, Word Window Punch, 2015-2017 In Color Markers;  2015-2017 In Color Blossom Accents, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Ovals Framelits,
